Nutmeg
Nutmeg is the seed of Myristica Fragrans evergreen tree, native to Indonesia. This tree gives two spices: nutmeg and mace. Both spices come from the fruit that splits into outer coating (mace) and inner nutmeg seed. Nutmeg is sweet, aromatic, with a slightly nutty taste. It is used as a whole seed or pre-grated spice.
Nutmeg is mostly used in desserts and baking, but it can also be used in sausages, soups, meat dishes (pork and weal goulash).
