Allspice
Piment is the dried unripe berry of Pimenta Dioica evergreen tree. These dried berries are small, dark berries, with pungent aroma. Although some think that allspice is a combination of several spices, that is not correct. Its taste is similar to the taste of the mixture of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Allspice is used in Jamaica, in soups, curries and goulash dishes. It is also used for pickling, spiced teas, cakes and other sweets.
